Female Infertility

Female infertility refers to the inability to conceive naturally. A woman is considered infertile if she can't get pregnant after about a year of trying. It's estimated to affect 48 million women worldwide, with the highest rates in South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Central/Eastern Europe. Fertility is highest between the ages of 20 and 30, and declines as a woman approaches 40.
